PRODUCTION AND CONTROL

The production and controls carried out by the Institut Pasteur in Dakar have been developed according to international standards of preparation and control of sterile vaccines.

It is a qualified team of more than 30 people, efficient and competent.
The Pasteur Institute in Dakar is the industrial unit for the manufacture of human vaccines in Africa, with know-how identical to the major European pharmaceutical groups.

The unit has several clean rooms, recently modified production equipment and a quality control laboratory performing all the tests required by regulations. Thus, it was completely self-contained, feasible from viral replication until it was tested on the finished product. This product is also available in the normal standard.

These are 100,000 eggs treated annually which allow a production of 4 to 8 million doses. font>

The lyophilized vaccine currently in Dakar is marketed in 3 ml ampoules containing 5, 10 or 20 doses

The manufacturing, the local shops and the control were implemented at the rate of the normative requirements and the quality of production.
