Hormonology and tumor markers
Hormonology covers the measurement of specific hormones useful for the diagnostical exploration of endocrine dysfunction or to assist in therapeutic management. The hormones we measure include the following: thyroid hormones (TSH, T3, T4), sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone), βHCG, cortisol, prolactin but also vitamin D, etc.
Tumor markers allow the clinician to orientate towards an organ tumor process. The interpretation of the results will always be confronted with the clinical data. The main markers measured are: ACE, αFP, total and free PSA, CA19.9, CA 15.3.
